I'm in Japan.
They lost one of my bags in Chicago, but other than that everything went/is going well. There's not that much to say yet, I guess. I guess. This chick I met on the shuttle from the airport is like totally in love with me, and she's been emailing me like crazy, so I guess that means I've already made a friend...right? Whatever, as long as I can afford pocky I don't even need any friends.
I guess the only thing that's really bugging me is that everytime I start to say something in Japanese, it comes out in Spanish. But that's nobody's fault but my own.
Oh yeah: the vending machines are foxxy.

Nihon or bust
TODAY IS MY LAST DAY. That's so ridiculous. But I have my visa, I have my ticket, and I have my ice. I'm almost done packing. I can kill a wild boar with my bare hands.
PA can bite my dust.

Will this ever end?
Ok, so my mom woke me up at 5:30 this morning so we could haul ass to NY and get my visa. We got up there as soon as the consulate opened, but they said we wouldn't be able to pick up the visa until Friday. Cool. We drove three hours to spend ten minutes being told that we get to do the exact same thing again in four days. The best part is that we got charged $22 by the garage where we were parked for freaking 17 minutes.
But that doesn't even matter, ok? Right now my homegirl Jess is on her way to the UK. Godspeed, lady. I wish you were going to Japan
Man, those smiley jons are great.

Last lesson
As of 11:30 this morning, I officially rocked my last Japanese lesson. I don't know how I'd describe it, other than SEVERE PANICKAGE. It was like my teacher suddenly understood that I'm leaving in less than a week and decided she had to teach me some real Japanese. Like, how to get a perm (?!) and how to plead for help from strangers on the street. Obviously, now I feel a lot more prepared.
My host mom called me yesterday, too, which was really nice. She was afraid I'd left already and they hadn't gotten a chance to say goodbye. Megan wasn't home, but I talked to Samuel for a little while, too. She said they'd all call again the night before I left, if I wasn't having a party or something. Yeah, right.
So basically, I'm feeling really good about all this. And that's a huge lie. But whatever, I really love the untruth.

The Final Countdown
So I just got back from Florida like half an hour ago. Looking back on it now, I can see that using my last couple of weeks in the country to drive up and down the east coast and go to Disneyworld wasn't a bright idea, but whatever. I don't have my visa yet, so why should I think I'm going anywhere anyway?
I don't know how this blog stuff works, this is just a rad test.
